‘BUSINESS AFFAIRS’ tells stories of a homecoming and a farewell that meet in the middle. Set in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – it explores the emotion of the city dwellers in forms of a group of old friends, a former brother and sister, sisterhood, and a couple of not-quite lovers. Adil comes home after an attempt to nurse his broken heart after an unexpected divorce and Natasha is going away to leave everything behind and find something better. It is a world where seeking happiness is a gamble and any exchange of feelings seems like a transaction. ‘BUSINESS AFFAIRS’ is a film that mimics life where sometimes questions don’t necessarily have answers.
